New Delhi : Software and outsourcing major HCL Technologies Friday reported 49.1 percent growth in its net profit for the quarter ended Dec 31 at Rs.3.98 billion (Rs.398 crore/$80.7 million) as against Rs.2.67 billion a year ago.
The company’s net profit for the half-year period ended Dec 31 was up 22.7 percent at RS.65.18 billion as against Rs.53.11 billion in the corresponding period last year.
The company’s total income during the October-December period rose to Rs.13.05 billion from Rs.11.3 billion a year ago.
“The last quarter has been significant for us. First, HCL has inked contracts worth $1 billion in the last quarter, the biggest in its history. We have successfully integrated Axon as part of HCL,” company chief executive Vineet Nayar said.
The company also declared a dividend of Rs.2 per equity share.
