New Delhi : The Congress Monday renominated Vayalar Ravi, minister of overseas Indian affairs and parliamentary affairs, for the Rajya Sabha election from Kerala.
“Congress president (Sonia Gandhi) has re-nominated Vayalar Ravi for Rajya Sabha election from Kerala,” a statement issued here said.
Vayalar Ravi started his political career as founder president of the Kerala Students Union (KSU), the students’ wing of the Indian National Congress in Kerala.
He was elected to the Lok Sabha in 1971 and 1977. He was elected to the Rajya Sabha in 1994 and 2003.
