New Delhi : The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Monday arrested a Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) official here for accepting a bribe of Rs.100,000.
“We arrested A.S. Narayan Rao while he was accepting a bribe of Rs.100,000 at a Karol Bagh hotel Monday night,” CBI spokesperson Harsh Behl told IANS.
“He had demanded Rs.800,000 from a Chennai based Export Company promising them that he will get their files cleared. Rs.100,000 was paid as the first instalment of the bribe,” Behl added.
Rao, a director level official, will be produced in the Tis Hazari courts Tuesday.
