Works on social reform released at AIMPLB’s Bhatkal meet

Mumbai: Works including books written on social reform by prominent Islamic scholars were released yesterday at the end of the daylong Working Committee meeting of All India Muslim Personal Law Board in Bhatkal, Karnataka.

The book Dukhtar Kushi Ki Lanat (Curse of Female Foeticide) written by Maulana Mufti Fuzailur Rahman Hilal Usmani both in Telugu and Kannada languages was inaugurated by AIMPLB president Maulana Muhammad Rabei Hasani Nadwi.

All India convener of Islah-e-Mu’ashra Committee (Social Reform Committee) of AIMPLB, Maulana Muhammad Wali Rahmani presented a report on Tahreek-e-Islah-e-Mu’ashra (Movement for Social Reform) which has details about activities on social reform being carried out by the Board.

The three-page report on the three-day conference of Muttaheda Tahaffuz Shariat Committee For Women (United Shariah Protection Committee For Women) held recently in Hyderabad, was also inaugurated in the Bhatkal meet by the president of the board.

So far, the central office of Social Reform Committee at Khanqah Rahmani in Munger has published nine books on social reform in different languages.

They are: Ummat-e-Muslema Ki Do Khusoosiyat (Two Characteristics of Muslim Ummah) by Maulana Muhammad Rabei Hasani Nadwi, Ladkiyon Ka Qatl-e-Aam (Genocide of Girls) by Maulana Muhammad Wali Rahmani, Auraton Ke Liye Islam (Islam For Women) by Maulana Burhanuddin Sambhali, member of the Board and some books by Maulana Mufti Fuzailur Rahman Hilal Usmani such as Shadi Mubarak (Blessed MarriageRishta Tootta Hai (When Relations Is Snapped), Islam Ne Aurat Ko Keya Diya’ (‘What Islam Gave To Women?) in different languages including Urdu, Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati and Telugu.
