Two NATO soldiers killed in Afghanistan

Khost, Afghanistan : Two NATO soldiers were killed and one wounded in a bomb blast in eastern Afghanistan on Tuesday, a military spokeswoman said.

“Two alliance soldiers were killed by an IED (improvised explosive device) and one wounded,” Lieutenant Colonel Rumi Neilson-Green, a spokeswoman for the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force, told AFP.

She could not release the nationalities of those killed but most soldiers in eastern Afghanistan are US nationals.

Witnesses said the blast was on the outskirts of the eastern city of Khost, on the road to the main US base in eastern Afghanistan. (*)
