Story of spirited and determind fight against all odds

Hyderabad: An orphan boy from a small town of rural Andhra Pradesh has achieved 8th rank in the Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) final examination at the state level. Khwaja Moinuddin, with the help of his widowed mother, faced tremendous economic odds to register an impressive success and wants to pursue the masters in structural engineering.

Khwaja Moinuddin, a student of Mufaqam Jah College of Engineering in Hyderabad hails from Godavarikhani, a coal mine town in Karimnagar district and he had secured the admission in engineering course on the basis of merit he achieved in the common entrance test.

Showing determination and grit he continued his education with the help of a few Muslim organization and encouragement of his mother. Moinuddin’s father Khwaja Mohiuddin passed away when he was still in 9th standard.

“It was my mother’s hard work and her blessings which kept me going. She maintained the family by stitching cloths and helped me in completing my education”, said the boy who also gave tuition to the other students to take care of his educational expenses.

Moinuddin said that his dream in life was to help the other needy students when he stand up on his feet after completing his post graduation.

This is one of the several success stories of Muslim students from under privileged and poorer sections making it big in education through sheer hard work and determination.

Meanwhile several Muslim students have also performed impressively in Integrated Common Entrance Test (I-CET) through which admissions are given in to the MBA and MCA courses.

This year 15150 Muslim students have cleared this tough and prestigious examination and became eligible for admission in to the much sought after MBA and MCA courses.

The top most achiever is Mohammed Zahed Hussain who secured 22nd rank in general list and first position in the list of minority candidates. Shaikha Mahboob Pasha came at 37th position and second in the minority list. The other general ranks include Mohammed Masood Ali (45), Feroze Khan Pathan (58), Qasim Shaikh (86).

It may be mentioned here that more than 30,000 Muslim students have cleared in the EAMCET or common entrance test for admission in medicine and engineering courses in Andhra Pradesh this year.
