Abu Dhabi : United Arab Emirates foreign trade crossed $84 billion in the first half of 2009, WAM news agency reported Thursday.
The imports during the period stood at $58 billion while the total value of non-oil exports was $8 billion. Re-exports during the period showed a surge and reached $18 billion.
Director of Customs Affairs at the Federal Customs Authority Ahmed Saeed Al Dhahiri said that it is for the first time that a half yearly statistical report on foreign trade has been released.
