By IANS,

Agra : When the parents of a baby girl who was born nine minutes past 9 a.m. on Sep 9, 2009 had to think of a name for the child, they probably didn’t have to think hard. She was named Ninza, symbolising the number nine.

The baby girl was born at the Pushpanjali hospital in Agra Wednesday. The operating doctor Shivani Chaturvedi said that the birth was a coincidence and not pre-planned, even though the father Madhur Agarwal from Firozabad wanted the delivery Sep 9.

“I did not want to take any risk. However conditions developed which necessitated an operation and the child was delivered at nine minutes past 9 a.m. on Sep 9,” Chaturvedi said.

Agarwal said the child had been named Ninza, a name that would keep reminding everyone the importance of number nine.

Asked if there was anything unique about the delivery, Chaturvedi said: “Not really… fairly routine… a 24-minute surgery done to my satisfaction, until I saw the expression on the father’s face, there was such excitement!”
