Property dealer Dalbir Singh Yadav was stabbed by some unidentified assailants who entered his Khanpur residence in south Delhi Friday morning, a police officer said.

Yadav was severely injured and rushed to a hospital where he died during treatment.

In another incident, an accountant was shot dead by three motorcycle-borne assailants around 9 a.m. Friday in Bhogal area in south Delhi.

According to police, the assailants tried to snatch a bag from the victim and when he resisted, they shot him before escaping with the bag.

A trader was robbed and shot dead by six assailants in west Delhi Thursday night when he was returning to his Shalimar Bagh residence.

Kanhaiya Lal Sachdeva was coming back in his car from Lajpat Rai market in Chandni Chowk when a car and motorcycle intercepted him.

“As the driver stopped the car, the assailants opened fire at the trader, killing him on the spot and injuring another person,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (northwest) N.S. Bundela.

Bundela said robbery seemed to be the motive behind the murder as the assailants escaped with two bags containing money.

A 25-year-old man was shot dead by five people in east Delhi’s Gandhi Nagar Thursday following a tiff over money lending.

According to police, the assailants had lent some money to Bhupendra Jain and Thursday they approached him for returning the amount.

“There was some quarrel among them after which the assailants fired at Bhupendra, killing him on the spot. We have identified the assailants and they will be arrested soon,” said Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (east) Anyesh Rai.
