Justice G.S. Sistani asked Kamlesh Kumari to give tuitions to any child of Geeta’s family, a vegetable vendor in Sultanpuri area of Outer district, for free.

The court was hearing Kamlesh’s plea that since she and Geeta had reached an out-of-court compromise and she was ready to pay a Rs.2 lakh compensation to Geeta, the pending first information report (FIR) against her should be quashed.

The case dates back to Sep 17, 2004, when Kamlesh had beaten Geeta’s daughter who had sat on Kamlesh’s chair. The child was admitted to the hospital and later succumbed to her injuries.

The police had registered a case against the teacher June 18, 2005.

Geeta moved the court for compensation. After this, the teacher approached the court for quashing the charges against her.
