Andhra Cricket Association officials stopped the sale of tickets in view of the shutdown in the city and the rest of the coastal Andhra region. They said tickets would now be sold Dec 14 and 15.

However, protesters fighting to keep Andhra Pradesh united have threatened to disrupt the match.

Leaders of the Joint Action Committee of students and others opposing the bifurcation of the state said they would not allow the match.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said it was assessing the situation.
