Kolkata : Maoists and their associate tribal group People’s Committee Against Police Atrocities (PCAPA) allegedly killed three Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) activists and set on fire a sponge iron factory and several vehicles in West Bengal’s West Midnapore district, police said Friday.
According to police, the leftist ultras abducted three CPI-M workers from Bandhagara and Chandra villages Thursday night.
The bullet-riddled bodies of Anil Chalak, Daya Chalak and Amol Patra were found Friday morning.
Another CPI-M member Ganesh Hansda is in serious condition at the Midnapore Medical College Hospital after he was shot at by assailants at Chandra.
The rebels also set afire a sponge iron factory in Jitushole. A oil tanker was torched in Bankashole while three truckers was set on fire at Dherua.
