London : Britain condemned the Friday suicide attack in a volleyball field in the northwest of Pakistan killing over 75 people and injuring scores others.
“We condemn this horrific attack that has led to the needless loss of so many lives,” a foreign office spokesman said in a statement.
“We will continue to work with Pakistan to counter the threat that it faces from violent extremism,” he said.
A volleyball match was being played in the ground when a suicide bomber hit his explosive-laden vehicle into the outer wall of the stadium. Dozens of people were gathered to watch the match.
The foreign office spokesman said the suicide attack “is a threat that the international community must help Pakistan to tackle, in the interests both of Pakistan’s people and of wider stability.”
