Dhaka : Ten people were killed and 30 injured Monday in three separate road accidents in Bangladesh’s Comilla district, 90 km southeast of here, UNB news agency reported.
Seven people were killed and five injured when a rashly driven truck rammed into a rickshaw on highway connecting Comilla with northeastern Sylhet district.
In another accident, two pedestrians were killed when a truck ploughed into a roadside gathering of people and ran over them. Sources said the driver of the truck lost control over the steering as one of its tires deflated.
In the third mishap, a man was killed and 25 were injured when a passenger bus overturned on highway connecting Dhaka with southeastern port city Chittagong.
