Kuala Lumpur : Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono confirmed on Wednesday the killing of terrorist Dulmatin and other terrorists in raids in Jakarta on Tuesday.
Yudhoyono told the Indonesian News Agency (ANTARA), during an official visit to Australia, that the Indonesian Police achieved great success in limiting the movements of terrorists.
He stressed that the Indonesian government was working hard to chase terrorists and to bring them to justice.
The police’s anti-terrorist unit confirmed the fingerprints of Dulmatin whose name was on a list of wanted people accused of planning and executing the 2002 Bali bombings, saying no deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) test was needed.
Dulmatin was a leader of an Islamic group in Southeast Asia and was trained by Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan.
