Malappuram: The students groups of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, namely Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO) and Girls Islamic Organisation of India (GIO), will hold career guidance programs titled Teens Meet for boys and girls separately in different districts of Kerala. The program is for students who have completed their 10th class and are looking forward for higher education.
The GIO’s Teens Meet of the Malappuram District is planned to be conducted as a 3-day camp from April 21-23. “We will have Field Trip, Film Show, Discussion Classes, Personality Development classes and Career Guidance Classes as the part of the program” Program Convenor Shareefa said. The participating girls would also be given opportunities to mingle within themselves. Moreover, if needed, they will be given individual career counselling.
Classes would be taken for the girls on the topics relating to Women and Education, Women Education and Islam by the Chief Guest, Seenath Cherukode, Lecturer, Vandoor Islamiya College and many other faculties from different colleges. Personalities like V.T. Iqbal from Centre for Information and Guidance India (CIGI) will also be attending the concluding session of the camp.
The Teens Meet of SIO for the district will be also a 3-day camp from April 5. There will be career programs to give motivation to students on their higher studies. They will also have Film Shows, Career Clinic, Camp Fare, Personality Development Class and Students Parliament.
On the third day the conclusion of the camp would be marked by the cultural programs. This will help the students to reduce their tension and to look forward peacefully for their future studies.
