Lucknow : Four men were arrested with morphine worth over Rs.2.5 crore in Uttar Pradesh’s Barabanki district, police said Monday.
The four men, aged between 35-40 years, were nabbed Sunday evening from Sahpur area of Barabanki, some 35 km from Lucknow.
“The four used to supply drugs to West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and other states,” Inspector A.K. Singh told reporters.
“The accused have admitted that they have been supplying the drugs for last six years in different states,” he added.
All four have been booked under Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, he said.
