New Delhi : A 22-year-old man driving at high speed in a drunken state allegedly killed a police inspector in a road accident, police said Friday.
According to police, the accused, Sahil Gupta was speeding home in his Maruti Swift car when it rammed into Inspector Shyam Sunder’s Santro near Pragati Maidan, killing him.
The body of Sunder, 41, was found beside his smashed Santro near a park close to Pragati Maidan early Friday morning.
Police said Gupta was in an inebriated state and was nabbed from his car.
Gupta told police that when he hit the Santro there was nobody inside it.
