New Delhi: Home Minister P. Chidambaram is known as one of the most erudite minds of the Indian cabinet, something his Pakistani counterpart wholeheartedly endorses.
“I found Chidambaram a very intelligent and a capable leader,” Pakistani Interior Minister Rehman Malik posted on his Twitter account Saturday.
Commenting on his discussions with Chidambaram, who was in Islamabad Friday-Sunday, he wrote: “We shared thoughts of friendship in the meeting.”
Malik is a regular user of Twitter with 2,857 followers of his account.
Chidambaram was the first Indian minister to visit Pakistan since the Nov 26-29, 2008 Mumbai terror attack.
He conveyed to Malik that more people were behind the terror spree and asked for “visible” action against those involved in 26/11, which led to the suspension of the composite dialogue between the two countries.
“We think more people lay behind the Mumbai attack and more people should be prosecuted,” Chidambaram said.
