Ahmadabad: After arresting several Gujarat Police officers including some IPS officers, now it is time for Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to arrest Gujarat’s Home Minister and one of the Narendra Modi’s trusted friends Mr. Amit Shah in connection with fake encounter of Sohrabuddin Sheikh and his wife Kausar Bi in the state in November 2005.

According to the report in media Shah would be arrested and questioned by the CBI soon to get information that could help in solving the complication of the case. “There are some gaps in the case which can be filled only if Shah is questioned,” a senior CBI official has been quoted as saying.
Due to possibility of arrest, Shah has been hiding from people for last two months. He was not seen in his office, stopped using his official cell phone and even quit traveling in his official car. People at both his office and home deny having any number of Shah on which he can be contacted.

Shah who is Home Minister of Gujarat and was at the same post at the time of killing Sohrabuddin and his wife got worried since the Supreme Court handed over the Sohrabuddin case to the CBI, and he felt apprehension after the arrest of senior police officer Abhay Chudasama by the CBI in last week of April this year for his alleged involvement in the case. Since then he has been hiding himself from public and especially media.
The details of Shah’s calls to four police officers during the December 2006 killing of Prajapati Tulsi who was the key witness in Sohrabuddin and his wife Kauserbi murder case by Gujarat Police officers also made him sleepless because it indicates his suspected role in the case.
Currently, fifteen police officers, including four IPS officers DIG D G Vanzara, Rajkumar Pandyan, Dinesh M N and Abhay Chudasama are behind bar in the case. If Shah is arrested it will be a big step towards justice and tremendous success for the family of slain Sohrabuddin who are making all efforts to get justice
