Bangalore : Karnataka Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy Thursday said he was ready to break his deal on transferring power to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the interests of people and his party, the Janata Dal-Secular (JD-S).
A section of the BJP was ready to align with the JD-S, he said, addressing the party’s state executive committee meeting here in the afternoon.
Kumaraswamy came to power 20 months ago with a power-sharing deal with the BJP and he was to transfer power to the ally Wednesday, but the matter has been embroiled in a crisis this week.
