Ahmedabad: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) was Monday allowed by a special court to question Gujarat’s former minister Amit Shah in jail for three days, starting July 28, in connection with the 2005 Sohrabuddin Sheikh killing.
Special CBI Judge A.I. Raval allowed the investigating agency to quiz Shah July 28-30 between 9.30 a.m. and 5.30 p.m.
The former minister’s interrogation will have to be videographed, the court told the CBI.
Shah was sent to 14 days judicial custody Sunday after he surrendered before the investigating agency.
Earlier Monday, noted lawyer Ram Jethmalani appeared for the former minister in court and applied for his bail. The court will take up the matter Aug 2.
