Kolkata : Deccan Charters launched a charter air service between Jamshedpur and Kolkata with an inaugural flight Monday.
The flights would operate six days a week from Aug 17.
“Deccans Charters will provide this service using a 19-seater turbo prop aircraft, between the cities of Kolkata and Jamshedpur. This initiative has been undertaken with an intention to provide much needed connectivity to India’s first industrial city of Jamshedpur and provide impetus to the tourist inflow,” a company statement said.
Deccan Charters Chairman Captain G.R. Gopinath said the service was aimed at linking the people of Jamshedpur with the rest of the country in an effective manner.
