The top-level meeting will discuss the implications of the verdict in the 61-year-old title suits of the site, which Hindu groups claim is the birth place of Lord Ram. The law and order situation in the country soon after the judgment will be also reviewed, a senior official told IANS.

The initial plan of the government was to call a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS). But it was changed because of the absence of senior ministers Defence Minister A.K. Antony and External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna, who are away in the US, the official said.

Besides Manmohan Singh, the review meeting will be attended by Home Minister P. Chidambaram, Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, Law Minister M. Veerappa Moily and other senior ministers, the sources said.

The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court in a verdict has ruled in favour of a temple at the disputed site in Ayodhya.
