Petrol, aviation fuel prices to go up from midnight

New Delhi: State oil companies will raise price of petrol by about Rs.2.50 per litre, while there will be a 2 percent hike in aviation fuel from Saturday midnight.

According to sources, the three state oil marketing companies will be raising their price for petrol ranging from Rs.2.50 to Rs.2.54 per litre.

In retail outlets of Indian Oil in Delhi, petrol will be sold for Rs.58.37 from midnight – a rise of about 4 percent. It will be slightly more expensive at retail outlets of Hindustan Petroleum and Bharat Petroleum.

According to Indian Oil, aviation turbine fuel will increase by 2 percent to Rs.48,764 per kilolitre from Jan 16.
