Chennai/Kumily (Kerala): A 14-year-old girl from Coimbatore and her father are among the 102 pilgrims who lost their lives in the Sabarimala stampede.
A police official in Kumily said the girl was R. Nandini and her father Ramakrishnan.
The stampede occurred Friday night at Pulumedu near Vandiperiyar town soon after the Makara Jyothi sighting.
According to the official, most bodies have been identified and 90 of them have been handed over to their relatives.
Out of over 60 injured, seven people were admitted to Tamil Nadu’s Theni Medical College Hospital.
The seven admitted there are: Jagannathan (51), Chinnasamy (30) and Sarvanan (22) from Dharmapuri; Saravanan (30) and Dinesh Kumar (27) from Coimbatore; Ramalingam (37) from Tiruttani; and Ramesh (27) from Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh, the official said.
