Islamabad : Pakistani former senator and religious leader here Wednesday asked all Islamic countries to join hands to fight for rights of oppressed Muslim nations.
Talking to IRNA, Hafiz Hussian Ahmad added that unity is key to success of Muslim Ummah.
“The unity of Ummah is a primary and important goal that we must strive for”, he suggested.
Religious leader appreciated the statement of head of Iran’s Presidential Office Esfandiyar Rahim Masha’ei saying that the defense of Palestine is among the top priorities of Iran’s foreign policy and the Islamic Republic will always stand by the people of Palestine.
The Iranian official went on to say that Iran’s Islamic Revolution does not belong only to the Iranians, but it’s rather a divine revolution which belongs to all men, women and freedom-seekers in the world.
Hafiz Hussian Ahmad welcoming the statement of Iranian official said that all Islamic countries should stand up for the causes of the Muslim Ummah.
He said ‘no doubt Palestine is a burning issue and must be resolved according to the aspirations of people of Palestine’.
He also called for collective efforts of all Muslim countries of the world to help in solving the long-standing issue of Palestine.
The religious leader said that Israel has been victimizing the innocent people of Palestine without any reason and the West has become a silent spectator on the Israeli atrocities on Palestinians.
He strongly criticised the United Nations (UN) for its dual role, saying the organisation has different standards of justice for Muslim Ummah.
Former Senator was of the view that discriminatory policies of international organisations allow chaos to prevail in the Muslim countries.
“Look how actively they stood up for the non-Muslims in Sudan and Indonesia but not paying a heed to the problems of people of Palestine and Afghanistan”, said the religious leader.
Hafiz Hussian Ahmad opined that unawareness of leaders is the misery of Muslim states. “We have plenty of recourses but unfortunately they are being controlled by Western countries”, he added.
He opined that the leaders of Muslim Ummah should symbolize the wishes of their people.
Head of Iran’s Presidential Office also said that the Islamic Iran is a powerful country in various political and economic arenas, but its power is resulted from the “power of Islam rather than national sentiments”.
“Yes I totally agree with the remarks of Iranian official”, said Hafiz Hussian Ahmad.
