In his lecture on 15th Feb., Dr Khan, an expert on Middle East issues, threw light on the 4000 years of the Bait-ul-Muqaddas, particularly events after the 1968 Arab-Israel War. He talked about the Israeli efforts to turn the Bait-ul-Muqaddas into a Jew-majority area, and excavation under the Masjid-e-Aqsa.

The Visva Bharati University, declared a central university by an Act of Parliament in 1951, was founded by first Indian Nobel winner Rabindranath Tagore. The Nizam National Lecture program is held every year under the waqf given by Nizam Hyderabad to the Santiniketan. Every year the organizer, the Dept of Arabic, Persian and Islamic Studies of the varsity, selects a topic of Islamic studies and invites and invites an expert on the subject to deliver the lecture.
