All-India Mahila Morcha (AIMM) president Smriti Irani Thursday said that since 11 out of the 13 women who contested polls on a BJP ticket in Bihar had won, the party was keen to make a similar move in Goa.

“In the Bihar polls, we gave tickets to 13 women, of whom 11 won. These tickets were given on the basis of a survey conducted by the party. A similar survey will be conducted in Goa,” Irani said at the party headquarters.

Irani, however, refused to say how many seats will be reserved for women, and added that the reservation of seats for women would depend on the “survey which would be conducted before the polls”.
