Chennai : To provide value-added after-sales service to customers, Ford India has introduced a mobile vehicle repair service called Ford Service Roadside Assistance (Ford Service RSA).
Starting this month, all new Ford vehicles sold by an authorised dealer will be offered free roadside assistance for a period of one year from the date of sale.
The service is being simultaneously launched in Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, Delhi and Chennai.
The roadside assistance could be on-site services for minor repairs, transporting car to the service centre, fuel delivery, battery jobs and help in unlocking cars.
If a roadside repair is not possible, Ford Service RSA will help the car owner in onward travel.
The service could be renewed at the end of the first year. Existing Ford vehicle owners can avail of the service for a charge.
Launching the service, Scott McCormack, vice-president, marketing, sales and service, said that with this offering Ford India would set a new benchmark in after-sales service and customer support in India.
Ford India has signed up with automotive service provider Mondial Assistance for the service.
