New Delhi: A group of 20 activists will travel 80,000 km across the country covering 350 districts to spread awareness on land livelihood issues, a statement from an NGO said Monday.
Under the banner of Ekta Parishad, which will be led by its president P.V. Rajagopal, the group will march from Kanyakumari Oct 2 highlighting struggles on issues related to land, livelihood, forest, water, mining, fishing rights, dams, displacement and special economic zones.
The march will culminate into a larger foot march Oct 2 2012, when 100,000 landless and marginalised people along with small and marginal farmers will march to Delhi to demand a comprehensive pro-poor national land reforms policy.
