New Delhi : The Delhi government will set up a Rs.3,100 crore multi-level manufacturing hub to encourage non-polluting small and medium industries in the capital, Delhi Industries Minister Ramakant Goswami said Monday.
“The construction of the hub will start within next months and pave the way for the non-polluting manufacturing sector,” he said.
“The estate will be developed at an estimated cost of Rs.3,100 crores at Rani Khera,” he told reporters on the occasion of Delhi Day.
He expressed the hope that with this project, the rural belt in the capital city will become a centre of attraction and result in economic prosperity of the city.
He added that work on a Rs.1,200 crore, knowledge-based industries park at Baprola is being expedited.
It will be developed over an area of 77 acres. It is expected to provide direct employment to 1 lakh people and indirect employment to around 2 lakh people.
