London : A man in Britain has been sentenced to 28 years in jail for torturing his neighbour to death to make him reveal his bank account’s PIN number before going on a three-month spending spree with the victim’s bank card.
Thomas Puxty, 31, tortured father-of-three Lee Clement, 55, until he revealed his PIN number before killing him and burying the body in a wood in Kent county in south east England, the Daily Mail reported.
Puxty then went on to spend 50,000 pounds (over $78,000) on Clement’s bank card, buying several items like watch, television, computer, clothes and jewellery.
He was nabbed after he walked into a police station earlier this year and confessed to murdering Clement five years ago.
Puxty narrated to police how he killed Clement, 55, at a hostel in Woolwich district using a pressure-point technique learned from the Royal Marines – which he quit after five weeks’ training as a teenager.
