Man working as Pakistani agent sent to police custody

New Delhi : A man, who was allegedly working as an agent for a Pakistani intelligence agency, was sent to two days’ police custody by a Delhi court here Wednesday.

Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Manish Yaduvanshi has handed over the accused, Zubair Khan, to Delhi Police for his custodial interrogation till July 20 in a case of the Official Secrets Act.

Police apprehended Zubair Wednesday from southeast Delhi. According to police, Zubair has disclosed that he was working for an intelligence agency of Pakistan and was in contact with an official of the Pakistan high commission.

The police have recovered some documents and photographs pertaining to the Indian Army from his possession.

The police had sought his custodial interrogation to unearth more details and to identify others involved in the case.
