New Delhi : Electricity will be provided to every household in the country in the next five years, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said Wednesday.
Addressing the nation from the Red Fort, the prime minister said more than one lakh new villages were provided electricity connections under the Rajiv Gandhi Rural Electrification Scheme.
“Our next target is to provide electricity to each and every household in our country in the next five years and to also improve the supply of electricity,” he said.
