New Delhi : BJP leader Sushma Swaraj Wednesday said it was “unjust” and “unfair” to accept allegations against their party president Nitin Gadkari without a probe.
She also said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) members “trust” Gadkari and “stand firmly behind him”.
“This season of allegations, some allegations have been levelled against our National President as well,” Swaraj said in a tweet about Gadkari after media reports alleged wrongdoing in his business deals.
“Shri Nitin Gadkari has categorically stated that there is no wrongdoing and has offered himself for a probe,” said the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha.
“It is unjust and unfair to accept these allegations as true without a probe.
“We the members of BJP trust our President and stand firmly behind him,” Swaraj said in the tweet.
