New Delhi : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Monday termed the ministerial reshuffle in the UPA II government an attempt to divert attention from issues of corruption and price rise.
Talking to reporters here, BJP spokesperson Sayed Shahnawaz Hussain also said that the reshuffle awarded tainted ministers.
“Tainted ministers have been promoted and blot on the Congress government has darkened after the reshuffle,” he said.
“Since the coal scam, government has been trying to divert attention from corruption and price rise. Yesterday (Sunday), when the cabinet was reshuffled, promotion was given to those against whom allegations of corruption were levelled in past few days. In the Manmohan Singh government, allegations are not minus point for the ministers, but a plus point,” he said.
“This reshuffle has disappointed the nation,” added Hussain.
