AIIMS-2 in Haryana to begin partial work

Chandigarh : The first campus outside New Delhi of the premier All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) will begin partial operations in Haryana Nov 24.

Congress MP from Haryana Deepender Singh Hooda Tuesday said the outreach Out Patient Department (OOPD) of AIIMS would be inaugurated in Haryana’s Bhadsa village by union Health and Family Welfare Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda Nov 24.

AIIMS-2 is located in Jhajjar district, 100 km from Delhi.

Hooda said the new centre would provide health facilities to people of Haryana Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chandigarh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh and Uttrakhand.

The Haryana government had given 300 acres of land for the setting up of AIIMS-2.
