Gujarat win enthuses BJP cadre in Karnataka: Shettar

Bangalore : Karnataka’s BJP Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar Thursday said the party’s victory in Gujarat assembly polls has enthused its cadre in his state where assembly polls are due in less than six months.

“The BJP cadres across the country, especially in states like Karnataka which are going to the polls shortly, are enthused by the victory of BJP in Gujarat,” he said in a statement here.

He hailed the leadership of his Gujarat counterpart Narendra Modi and said “the polls results have also shown that a new leader who can guide the future of the county is emerging.”

“The victory is a victory of good governance and development,” Shettar, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) third chief minister in Karnataka in over four years of its maiden rule, said.

The Karnataka assembly’s term expires May end next year.
