Abu Dhabi: Foreign ministers of the UAE and Portugal have met to discuss ways of boosting bilateral relations.
The UAE’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan met Portugal’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Paulo Sacadura Cabral Portas and also tackled a broad range of issues of common interest.
In Dubai, Portas called upon businesses in the UAE to invest in his country which he said has a 500-year-old connection with the Emirates.
A Portuguese delegation of 50 business heads from agro-food, finance, energy, pharmaceutical, textile, tourism, industry and telecommunications sectors, attended a seminar jointly organised by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Portugal Trade and Investment Agency.
