Uganda Olympic Committee President Francis Nyangweso told federation leaders at a workshop over the weekend that coaches handling the cheating athletes would also be banned as a way of cleaning up the sport.

“You now have to be careful when choosing your athlete. We are looking for true wins,” Nyangweso was quoted by New Vision Tuesday as saying.

At the workshop, Valerie Onyango, the administrator of the regional anti-doping agency, presented a paper about anti doping and the requirements of the different parties.

Onyango advised the East African country to form a national anti doping agency, which should have representatives from the ministry, educational institutions as well as other stakeholders in sports.

“To be a winner, you have to do it naturally. Avoid drugs as it will destroy your future,” said Onyango.
