Kolkata: Condemning the attack on veteran CPI-M leader and former West Bengal minister Abdur Rezzak Molla, allegedly by Trinamool Congress cadres, Magsaysay award winning writer Mahasweta Devi Monday said the incident was “very painful”.
“What we are hearing, we get distracted. We want a correct path,” Mahasweta Devi said.
The CPI-M leader was admitted to a hospital here with injuries after he was allegedly attacked by Trinamool Congress workers, led by a former party legislator, Sunday at South 24 Parganas’ Bhangar.

The ruling Trinamool, however, rubbished the allegation of the CPI-M and said the Left party was trying to create disturbances in the state.
