Samsung warehouse at Ghaziabad looted

Ghaziabad: Three unidentified armed robbers looted cash, valuables and Samsung products worth over Rs.15 lakh from the warehouse of Samsung here, police said Thursday.

According to police, three robbers armed with pistols barged into the warehouse, run by Optimum Infracom Limited, Wednesday night and overpowered three company employees – branch head Ajay Kumar, accountant Pradeep Sharma and office assistant Lokesh.

The robbers then took out the consignment of the Samsung products and loaded in the SUV brought with them. They also took out all the available cash from the accountant’s desk and snatched the gold chain, rings and other jewellery from the employees before fleeing the spot.

The company employees informed the company in Delhi and lodged a complaint with police.

“On a rough estimate, the value of robbed items is assessed at Rs.15 lakh although the detailed inventory is being prepared,” said Ajay Kumar.

“Complaint has been received and police are investigating the case,” said Superintendent of Police (City) Shiv Shankar Yadav.
