New Delhi : A MiG-29 fighter plane of the Indian Air Force (IAF) Friday crashed near Jamnagar airbase in Gujarat while on a routine training sortie. The pilot, however, ejected safely.
There was no reported damage to any civilian life or property in the incident, an official release said.
“One MiG-29 aircraft of the IAF crashed near Jamnagar airbase on Nov 8, 2013 at about 11.29 a.m. The pilot, who was airborne on a routine flying training sortie, ejected safely,” the release said.
An inquiry has been ordered into the cause of the accident.
