Mumbai : Reliance Infrastructure Limited (RInfra), a part of the Reliance Group, Monday appointed M.S. Mehta as the chief executive officer with effect from July 7, a company statement said here.
He will take over as the CEO from Lalit Jalan, who held the position for more than seven years.
Jalan was elevated as director – corporate strategy and affairs, with effect from July 7. Jalan will steer future growth initiatives and efforts of the group with this new responsibility, the statement said.
Mehta, who was till recently the Group CEO of Vedanta Resources, is a mechanical engineer and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
