The working committee of Jamiat Ulama e hind takes stock

Daylong meeting of Jamiat Working Committee under the Presidentship of Maulana Usman Mansurpoori, JUH National President concluded here at Jamiat headquarter, New Delhi. The meeting deliberated upon issues like current status of Babri mosque case, prevailing communal situation in the country, humanitarian crisis in Palestine and deteriorating situation of citizenship issue in Assam.
Maulana Mahmood Madani, General Secretary of Jamiat Ulama-Hind while addressing the meeting dwelt upon the prevailing situation in the country. Responding to his address, the working committee of Jamiat unanimously decided to tackle the situation with a positive frame of mind. The Working Committee decided to interact with central, state governments and local administration for containing violent situation in the country. The Working Committee conceded that since misunderstanding among Hindus and Muslims is one of the reasons for the rise of violent incidents, therefore it has been decided to convey Peaceful and ethical teaching of Islam to Non-Muslims brethren. For this purpose Jamiat will publish and disseminate Islamic literatures in Hindi, English and other regional languages. Also efforts shall be made to remove cobweb of misunderstanding by extending social works under the provision of the organizational Constitution. It has also been decided to create a sense of Islamic liberalism and brotherhood among Muslims by organizing debates and symposia. In order to meet these objectives, a meeting of the State office bearers of Jamiat will be convened soon.
The working committee also deliberated in details upon burning issue of Assam citizenship and ongoing Babri Masjid case in the Supreme Court. The working committee decided to extend every possible help and assistance to the party of Babri Masjid side whenever required. Since the issue of Assamese citizenship has also turned out to be very critical, therefore Jamiat has decided to fight this legal battle in the apex court with full force. It is to be noted that Jamiat has been fighting this legal battle for more than one and half years. Recently a delegation of Jamiat had called on NSA and Home Secretary and complained about adding unnecessary clauses during process of NRC.
The working committee also adopted a resolution on Palestine issue and vehemently criticized the opening of Israeli embassy in USA. The working committee also expressed its deepest concern over Israeli aggression upon common citizen of Palestine.
The working committee also deliberated upon recent initiatives taken by Saudi Kingdom for introducing reform in the kingdom. In order to take stock of the situation, the working committee of Jamiat has constituted a committee that will gather every relevant material and information regarding the related issue.
