Baghdad : Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki held a video conference call with US president George Bush Wednesday and discussed the political process in Iraq, as well as security and economic developments nationwide, Maliki’s office said.
Maliki affirmed to Bush that political forces were united to create positive atmosphere to rebuild the country.
The Iraqi government has been implementing a program to develop national economy and rebuild the country, said Maliki.
The statement quoted Bush as reiterating his support to Maliki to achieve national conciliation at all levels.
