Bhopal : Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav Sunday said his party would stage a nationwide stir against the price rise April 18-23.
Yadav, who had a brief stopover here after addressing a rally at Betul in Madhya Pradesh, said the rising inflation had hit the poor severely and his party would launch protest to highlight their woes.
He lamented that while the daily use items were getting out of the reach of the common man, luxury items like cars were getting cheaper.
Yadav also called upon his party workers to get ready for the Lok Sabha polls, which he said, could be held any time.
He accused Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati of conspiring to put him behind the bars, and said, “I am prepared for that”.
