All India Indian Medicine Conference concluded at AMU

Aligarh: A 2-Day All India Indian Medicine Conference concluded on 14th April at Ajmal Khan Tibbiya College in Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).

Proposal forwarded by All India Unani Tibbi Congress was passed during the conference. In the proposal, the government has been demanded to prepare strategy for ensuring representation of Unani and other alternate systems of treatment at all levels in order to maintain balance among recognized Indian systems of medicine.

Speaking at the conference, Prof Mehdi Hasan, Senior INA scientist, said a seminar should be organized on the topic of ‘World Environment and the Role of Tibb-e-Unani’ so that the role of Unani system of medicine could be highlighted. He said Unani Tibb has succeeded in maintaining health in all parts of globe for 200 years and this fact is recognized even today.

The conference was inaugurated by Dr. Mohammad Khalid Siddiqui, director, CCRUM. Large number of delegates from every part of the country participated in the conference. A record number of 99 papers were read in the conference. Senior INA scientist Prof Mehdi Hasan chaired the conference.
