Geneva : Participants in an international seminar on woman rights and human rights in Islam have Saturday appreciated the role of Muslim scholars based in the West and the NGOs in backing the Palestinian and Iraqi people who were suffering oppression and poverty.
The participants called for the establishment of an internet forum of the European Muslim woman.
Seminar chairperson Dr. Fawziya Al-Ashmawe said the participants called on the second generation of European Muslim women to blend in the European communities but keep, at the same time, their Islamic culture and values.
They urged officials in the UN Human Rights Council (HRC), international organizations, government and non-government organizations to issue a law that forbid the assault against religion and religious figures.
